So you used Twitter for a bit and decided you didn’t like it, or maybe you posted a few spurious things and now want to get rid of your account! Maybe you just want a whole new account instead of changing the name of the one you have. You go to Twitter and the only option seems to be to deactivate your account, but you don’t want to deactivate it, you want to delete it.
Well I’m afraid that is the way you have to go. Deactivation is the first step to deleting your Twitter account. Once you have deactivated it then you will need to wait 30 days and at that point all of your account data is deleted. if you want to start up a new Twitter account using the same email address before the 30 days is up then you will either have to associate a new email address with the account you are deactivating, or you will need to wait the 30 days until that account is deleted.
