Hairstyles – Going for Red Hair!

Red hair is quite a daring fashion trend to take part in and you really need to have the right skin tones and coloring to be able to pull it off. Obviously if you have natural red hair then you are at an advantage already, although maybe when you were growing up you didn’t think so! Red hair is the envy of a lot of people, in particular the majority of us who have brown or just plain mousy color hair naturally.

If you want to go for red hair then you need to find the right shade for you and a good hairdresser that can recommend which type of red you should go for (if at all). From auburn and copper tones to deep chestnut there are a wealth of different colors to choose from.

From Julia Roberts, Julianne Moore to Blake Lively and Marcia Cross, whether it is real or fake, celebrities are embracing red hair as it sets them apart from others.

Red hair is not for everyone unfortunately so check with your stylist to see if you can find a shade that will suit you and get the in color hair for this year.

Isle of Man Car Races

The Isle of Man, in terms of racing is best known for the TT race which happens on the Isle of Man in August of every year. It is known to be one of the hardest and most deadly of motorbike races to take part in and all of the racers do not take part lightly as they are well aware of the dangers. Many bike racers have been killed on the Isle of Man over the years despite the rigorous safety standards that are applied. It is really just he ultimate test of man and bike that there is.

What not many people realise is though, is that there are also car races that take place on the Isle of Man. Since the 1960’s there have been car rally races that take part on the Island, with the roads being shut off and huge crowds attending the races. The two main car races on the Isle of Man are the Manx Trophy Rally and the Conister Trust Historical Rally, both of which are part of the Manx International Rally.

The most successful year for the Manx International Rally was in 2005 when over 200 cars took part in the rally and in 2007 it was named the best rally in the British Isles.

So whether you drive a Ford, a Fiat or a Honda, rally driving on the Isle of Man can be a great spectator sport if you manage to go along and watch it.

2012 Calendar – Mayan/Aztec Predictions and Books

Most people have heard that the world is supposed to end in 2012. Whether or not you believe this might happen there is plenty of information out there that says there will be an apocalypse on 21 December 2012. There are many skeptics out there (and I am one of them for sure) that say the 2012 calendar stories are just rubbish but we will not find out obviously until it is maybe too late.

There have been a few books written all about the 2012 calendar predictions and no doubt there will be a few more before the date hits us. Some people have been carrying out detailed investigations into the predictions which were made thousands of years ago. If you want to check out books on the 2012 calendar theory then take a look at this:

Amazon for College Textbooks

As the new school and college terms start again, students are once again looking for the best place to buy their textbooks. There are a number of options for buying textbooks and one of the best is to find someone who has previosusly studied the same course and has graduated or finished using their own textbooks. Many books are still in good condition and are a cheap way of getting textbooks for your next year of study.

So, if you are looking for new textbooks then the most obvious place to buy new textbooks online is Amazon. But did you know that you can not only buy new textbooks at Amazon but you can also buy (and sell if you want to) used college textbooks. In this way you can find the college textbooks that you need but at a cheap price and cheap textbooks are always going to be a great option for college students, let’s face it!

Then, once you have finished with those college textbooks yourself, you can again sell them on Amazon – recycling at it’s best!

Buying Harry Potter Books

So the last Harry Potter film was recently released (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2) and audience viewing figures, as per usual in the release of a Harry Potter film, were through the roof. because of the fact that this was the last installment it was quite an impetus for people to go and see the film to check out what happened to Harry Potter and his friends.

I personally enjoyed the film hugely, having seen all of the others previously and having been eagerly awaiting the dramatisation of the last Harry Potter book. Even if you have not seen all of the other Harry Potter films it is still worth going to see this one.

As it has been such a long period of time that the Harry Potter books and films have been out, there are likely some people that have not actually read all of the Harry Potter books. If you are one of them then I would recommend reading all of the Harry Potter books from the start so that you can gain all of the additional info that you get from a book and that is left out of the films.

Of course one of the best places that you can get hold of the Harry Potter books is at Amazon. They have the whole selection of all 7 books and you can either buy the books separately or as a complete boxed set of all 7 Harry Potter books together. But, and it is a big but, the Harry Potter books are NOT available on the Kindle. The main reason for the fact that you can’t get Harry Potter on the Kindle is that the author, JK Rowling, objects to the Kindle format for some reason.

However, the good news for those who have the Barnes & Noble nook is that the Harry Potter books are all available in ebook format on the nook and that is the only place where you can get an eFix of harry Potter.

So, although Amazon have a great selection of paperback and hardback books, take a trip to Barnes & Noble if you want to get hold of Harry Potter in an eBook format.
