Hair Feathers and Fascinators

Evolving from the traditional hat is the current fashion for fascinators and another new fashion is that of adding hair feather extensions.

Hair feather extensions are similar in a way to real hair extensions which can be integrated with your real hair, except of course it is obvious that the hair feathers are not part of your hair! Hair feathers are a really fun way of customizing your look and there are some really weird and wacky feather that you can get. In this way you can add color and individuality to your hair with the option to change the look at any time. Some of these feathers can be treated like real hair so that you can blow dry and straighten/curl them as you like, so forming part of your current hairstyle. They can be made from natural feathers or else hand made.

Fascinator hats were made popular by Kate Middleton amongst other people and are usually worn to events and weddings etc in place of actual hats. They are preferred by younger people and can be fun and funky but at the same time be stylish coupled with your stunning outfit.

Tattoos – Increasing in Popularity?

It seems that you don’t have to look too far on your TV screens to find a documentary about a tattoo parlour and it’s famous or not so famous customers. Whether it be LA Ink or Miami Ink, these shows may be fuelling the new surge in the popularity of tattoos.

Maybe it is also to do with the level of creativity that is involved in designing and inking a tattoo. Whether you choose a custom design or have something personal to your own situation, it seems that almost everyone these days has at least one tattoo on their body.

If you are thinking of getting a tattoo then think long and hard about what you want and where you want it – the worst thing you can do is to live to regret your choice, and although you can go some way to changing or removing it, it is pretty much there to stay.

The way that tattooing works is that the ink is injected into the dermis, which is the layer under the epidermis (where skin cells are shed), so it stays on permanently. Most tattoos are applied using an electrically powered needle that applies the ink through the skin and moves at up to 3000 times a minute.

Designs can be either drawn in freehand or by using a stencil and then the color is applied after the initial outline. Care should be taken to keep the tattoo dry for a 10 day period after the tattoo is applied.

Hairstyles – Going for Red Hair!

Red hair is quite a daring fashion trend to take part in and you really need to have the right skin tones and coloring to be able to pull it off. Obviously if you have natural red hair then you are at an advantage already, although maybe when you were growing up you didn’t think so! Red hair is the envy of a lot of people, in particular the majority of us who have brown or just plain mousy color hair naturally.

If you want to go for red hair then you need to find the right shade for you and a good hairdresser that can recommend which type of red you should go for (if at all). From auburn and copper tones to deep chestnut there are a wealth of different colors to choose from.

From Julia Roberts, Julianne Moore to Blake Lively and Marcia Cross, whether it is real or fake, celebrities are embracing red hair as it sets them apart from others.

Red hair is not for everyone unfortunately so check with your stylist to see if you can find a shade that will suit you and get the in color hair for this year.

Isle of Man Car Races

The Isle of Man, in terms of racing is best known for the TT race which happens on the Isle of Man in August of every year. It is known to be one of the hardest and most deadly of motorbike races to take part in and all of the racers do not take part lightly as they are well aware of the dangers. Many bike racers have been killed on the Isle of Man over the years despite the rigorous safety standards that are applied. It is really just he ultimate test of man and bike that there is.

What not many people realise is though, is that there are also car races that take place on the Isle of Man. Since the 1960’s there have been car rally races that take part on the Island, with the roads being shut off and huge crowds attending the races. The two main car races on the Isle of Man are the Manx Trophy Rally and the Conister Trust Historical Rally, both of which are part of the Manx International Rally.

The most successful year for the Manx International Rally was in 2005 when over 200 cars took part in the rally and in 2007 it was named the best rally in the British Isles.

So whether you drive a Ford, a Fiat or a Honda, rally driving on the Isle of Man can be a great spectator sport if you manage to go along and watch it.

2012 Calendar – Mayan/Aztec Predictions and Books

Most people have heard that the world is supposed to end in 2012. Whether or not you believe this might happen there is plenty of information out there that says there will be an apocalypse on 21 December 2012. There are many skeptics out there (and I am one of them for sure) that say the 2012 calendar stories are just rubbish but we will not find out obviously until it is maybe too late.

There have been a few books written all about the 2012 calendar predictions and no doubt there will be a few more before the date hits us. Some people have been carrying out detailed investigations into the predictions which were made thousands of years ago. If you want to check out books on the 2012 calendar theory then take a look at this:
