The Facebook scams seem never ending these days and it’s not surprising as people still seem to fall for them. So, is the Toyland/Planet of construction set offer of the Lego Millennium Falcon for £3 a scam?
The post is from a page called ‘Toyland’ but there is an exact replica from a page called Planet of construction set (and no doubt others).
The text says
“🧩 Have you bought the set for £3 yet?
40 years ago, the first episode of George Lucas’ legendary saga was released, and in honor of this, you can buy a construction set for £3 🔥
Order now and fill out the form to have it delivered to your door anywhere in the UK ⬇️”
Firstly check out the page. The 2 I saw had very few likes and followers. Although they did have a contact address and phone number which is unusual!
Also, if you look at the comments they read as if written by a bot:🤖
The comments are the same on both pages, word for word and some of them just don’t make sense.
To be fair alarm bells should ring on this immediately as the Millennium Falcon Lego set normally costs over £700 so what are the chances of buying one for £3?!
Whenever something appears on facebook that seems too good to be true then it usually is. Check out the page likes, when they first posted on that page and their about information and that should normally give you the answer.
